The Creative Talk

What is it?

After the book there is now the The Creative Talk “Creatives on Creativity”.

Steve Brouwers will tell the story on how his own insecurity and imposter syndrome has led to talking to 44 makers – painters, photographers, graphic designers, conceptual artists, furniture designers, video artists, advertisers – from all over the world.

The inspiration for this quest on creativity was a quote by George Lois : Asking “What if” is the seed to breathtaking creative ideas.

What if I asked my creative heroes about their childhood, their creative process, their inspirations and their most memorable achievements. The question that returns in every interview – “What is creativity to you?” – resulted in a collection of personal conversations that provide an extraordinary insight into the mind of the artists.

Steve likes to quote others only to better express himself so the talk will be filled with filmed quotes of these artists. It will provide an insight on their creative processes and will give you advice and refreshing thoughts that invite you to reflect on your own idea of creativity.

About The Talk

I’ve had the pleasure of attending Steve’s presentations around the world. They’re always funny, inspiring, and surprising. He’s taken that same energy and bundled it into a book, Creatives on Creativity. Don’t have time for a read? His newest session brings the book to life with poignant interviews with some of the world’s top creatives. It’s a great session.

About the book

“Sure to become a must-read for creative professionals”

“What drives each artist to use their imagination, to think, and to create, is also ultimately what drives this book. Some of the conversations are surprisingly, and refreshingly, simple, while others are revealing and personal and allow the reader to truly get inside the mind of these visionaries.”

“Creatives on Creativity…offers insights into the often-mysterious process of making creative work”
